Job Summary
Special Education Life Skills Paraeducator (North Ogden, UT) provides essential support to assigned teaching personnel by adapting lesson activities, assisting with daily living skills and personal care, implementing behavioral programs, maintaining student records, and supervising students to foster academic, daily living, and behavioral skill development. The role involves in-person collaboration at North Ogden, hours approximately 4.5 per day across 180 days annually, with duties spanning classroom support, clerical tasks, data collection, and participation in safety/health procedures (including possible MANDT training). Required Qualifications
- Assist assigned teaching personnel in supervision and instruction of special education students
- Adapt classroom work under teacher direction to reinforce lesson plans
- Implement instructional behavioral programs under supervision
- Maintain student files/records and data collection
- Monitor students to provide a safe learning environment
- Perform clerical tasks (scheduling, copying) to support teachers/administrators
