Job Summary
Provide face-to-face psychiatric services to patients in Skilled Nursing Facilities; assess the patient’s mental status; diagnose DSM-V disorders and develop treatment plans; apply medical decision-making skills for mental health issues including psychopharmacology options and non-pharmacological treatments; staff clinical cases with psychiatrists; requires Nevada nursing licensure in good standing with a psychiatry focus and DEA registration, plus at least 1 year of geriatric psychiatry and SNF/acute rehab experience; Spanish fluency is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed in Nevada by the Board of Nursing in good standing with a focus in psychiatry
- Licensed by the Nevada Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances (DEA)
- 1 year of Geriatric Psychiatry experience
- 1 year providing treatment within Skilled Nursing Facilities and/or Acute Rehab Hospitals
