Job Summary
North America Director, EHS&S leads strategic and operational direction for Environmental, Health, Safety & Sustainability programs across 40+ manufacturing facilities in North America, focusing on reducing operational risk, strengthening machine safety, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a proactive safety culture. Partners with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, HR, Supply Chain, andExecutive Leadership to deliver improvements in safety performance, environmental stewardship, and leadership effectiveness. Responsibilities include developing and executing EHS&S strategy, driving risk management initiatives, standardizing programs, audits, trainings, KPI monitoring, risk-based investigations, and mentoring a regional EHS&S team. Requires travel up to 60% across North America, relocation is offered, and relocation support is provided. The role demands deep knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, NFPA, machine safety, risk management, environmental compliance, and sustainability programs, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Required Qualifications
- Multi-site manufacturing EHS&S leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, NFPA, machine safety standards
- Experience leading machine safety initiatives, risk reduction, audits and investigations
- Ability to influence without authority and partner with plant leadership, operations teams, and executive stakeholders
- Strong project management, change management, and operational excellence capabilities
- Experience managing regional EHS&S teams across geographically dispersed operations
- Data-driven mindset with ability to analyze KPIs and drive continuous improvement
- Strong communication, executive presence, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
