Job Summary

North America Business Development Leader within Chemours' Advanced Performance Materials (APM) team. The role centers on shaping growth in strategic markets by developing demand for existing and new offerings, collaborating with marketing, sales, and product management, and building a robust opportunity pipeline. Responsibilities include building stakeholder analyses and relationships across customer levels, effectively communicating Chemours’ value proposition, penetrating target accounts, creating and executing account plans, and managing the opportunity pipeline. The position requires coordinating with Global Market Segment Leaders, Sales, Technology, and Product Management to inform strategy, and executing new product qualification programs in partnership with cross-functional teams. The role also entails gathering customer CTQs and market insights to inform the multi-generational product/technology roadmap and timing. Requirements include a Bachelor’s in engineering or business, 10+ years in the chemical industry with at least 3 years in customer-facing commercial roles, strong analytical and communication skills, and a track record of cross-functional collaboration. Preferred qualifications include deeper commercial acumen and experience with market research, data analysis, and competitive intelligence tools. Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business
  • 10+ years chemical industry experience in any function (technical, operations, product and/or commercial roles)
  • at least 3 years in customer-facing commercial roles focused on driving business growth
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with ability to synthesize complex technical and commercial information into concise insights
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results and build trust through effective cross-functional collaboration, internally, and externally, with peers and leadership
  • High motivation and self-awareness
  • Preferred: Strong commercial acumen from business development, marketing, and/or sales; experience with market research/data analysis; familiarity with market/competitive intelligence tools (e.g., SFDC)
