Job Summary
Prepare and serve food in accordance with planned menus, diet plans, recipes, portions, and temperature control procedures. Direct and assist in cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment, floors, dishes, and utensils. Check all trays for menu, diet requirements, preferences, and accuracy. Ensure proper storage for food and supplies. Review and process diet changes while maintaining established procedures. Full-time or on-call shifts available at $17.50-$22.50 per hour. This role supports seniors aging magnificently in a 40-unit community offering Assisted Living and Memory Care services.
Required Qualifications
- Large volume cooking experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, resident's families, and employees
- Must possess advanced computer skills, including email use
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English
- Ability to divide or multiply recipes to meet the quantity needs for service
