Job Summary
Monitor student activities, set up the cafeteria before, during, and after lunch, and assist children during each school lunch session. Receive students from classroom teachers, ensure they receive utensils and supplies, and verify trays are emptied. Guide children to line up for recess or the next activity at appointed times. Report 30 minutes prior to the first session and remain 30 minutes after the last to ensure cleanliness and order. Assist as needed or instructed by the administrator. Work 10 months per year, part-time, in person with varying hours.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Must report 30 minutes prior to the first lunch session and remain 30 after the last session
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, speak, hear, use hands, fingers, reach with hands and fingers
- Must be able to bend, stoop, lift objects of at least ten pounds
- Job requires the employee occasionally to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Visual ability requires mono and color vision, close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
