Job Summary
Nondestructive Test (NDT) Technician (Experienced or Senior) in Hazelwood, MO. Performs setup and execution of non-destructive testing using ultrasonic, eddy current, and radiographic methods on aerospace products. Works with digital/automated inspection systems; must obtain Boeing NDT certification and pass a vision exam. Senior level may involve certification training, supervision of trainees/Level I & II personnel, audits of NDT facilities, and development of testing documents. Strong emphasis on interpreting codes and standards, data analysis, and process improvement within a radiation environment. Requires High School diploma or equivalent and formal NDT training with Level II certification in UT, RT, or ET; more than 3 years of related experience; plus potential relocation eligibility and eligibility to obtain U.S. Security Clearance. Certification and safety requirements are integral to the role, with potential shift variations and up to 5% travel.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Formalized NDT Training
- Level II Certification in UT, RT or ET
- More than 3 years of experience reading, understanding and interpreting engineering technical information (drawings, handbooks, industry standards and specifications)
- More than 3 years of experience interpreting/developing policies, practices, processes, and procedures as they apply to technical documentation to ensure quality product delivery
- More than 3 years of experience with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- Ability to work in a radiation environment and wear PPE as required
- Experience performing NDT setup and testing to controlled standards
- Ability to interpret codes, standards, and contractual specifications controlling methods
- Experience developing and implementing testing/inspection processes and data collection techniques
