Nondestructive Examination Technician (NDE) Level I (1st shift)

Job Summary
Conduct RT and UT NDE inspections on REDAR manufactured products, including visual and dimensional checks. Maintain equipment calibrations, perform system self-audits, and monitor material and consumable inventories. Support production operations, assist in developing inspection techniques with Level III personnel, and interface with production to ensure accurate documentation. Perform standard visual inspections and support Cause and Corrective Action investigations. Requires Level I certification for RT and/or UT, three years of aerospace NDE experience preferred, and completion of 40-hour classroom training. Monday-Thursday 7:00am-4:30pm, working Fridays 7:00am-3:30pm, with off every other Friday and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Visual acuity Jaeger 1 or equivalent and 20/40 minimum vision required, corrected or uncorrected
- Minimum of three (3) years, experience in NDE of aerospace hardware, specifically with composites, rubber, and bonded structures
- Prior certification or qualification to Level I in an NDE method, including objective evidence of 40 hour classroom training
- Successful completion of the Level I examination for RT and/or Level I examination for UT in accordance with RQC 0526 (NAS 410) – administered by REDAR Principal Level 3
- Strong mathematical skills
- Access to ITAR and/or EAR controlled technical data, technology or source code
- Authorization to access ITAR and/or EAR controlled technical data, technology or source code
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in NDE of aerospace hardware, specifically with composites, rubber, and bonded structures
