Job Summary
Provide targeted small-group instruction in reading and/or mathematics to identified Title I students in Pre-K through 5th grade attending non-public schools. Collaborate with non-public school teachers to develop remediation plans, design engaging instructional activities, monitor and document student progress, and submit Title I documentation. Maintain communication with families, Title I staff, and non-public school personnel; serve as liaison between non-public school representatives and the SMCPS Director of Supplemental School Programs. Attend workshops and meetings, assist with procurement of Title I instructional materials via purchase orders, and ensure compliance with Title I regulations and reporting requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Maryland professional teaching certificate in Elementary Education
- Highly Qualified status as defined by federal and state regulations
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver effective instruction in reading and mathematics
