Job Summary
Provide individualized, standards-based instruction to students with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a structured educational environment, implementing IEPs and differentiated teaching strategies with behavior supports. Develop and maintain student documentation (lesson plans, progress reports, IEP reports, data tracking, communication logs) and participate in IEP meetings, behavior reviews, and interdisciplinary team meetings to support student progress and program development. Collaborate with therapists, support staff, and outside providers to ensure consistent programming; supervise and train Teacher Aides to maintain high-quality instructional delivery and cohesive classroom environments. Ensure compliance with organizational policies and Department of Education standards while maintaining student safety and well-being. This is a Full-Time role located in Oceanside, CA, with 10-Month teaching plus 1 Month during Summer Season.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Valid California Education Specialist Credential (or equivalent) or eligibility to obtain an Emergency California Teaching Credential
- 2+ years of experience working with students with intellectual and developmental disabilities in an educational or therapeutic setting
- Experience implementing IEPs, differentiated instruction, and behavior support strategies
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and organizational skills with the ability to manage classroom staff and student needs effectively
