Job Summary
PRN Respiratory Therapist II position in a non‐NICU setting at Cobb Hospital (Wellstar) with night shift responsibilities. Responsible for medication administration and delivering respiratory care in complex patient scenarios, primarily in critical care areas with ventilator management, independent decision-making, and patient/family education. Involves collaboration with the health care team, staff development, and participation in quality/safety initiatives. Requires NBRC-RRT, RCP, BLS, ACLS certifications and 0–2 years clinical experience with at least 6 months in critical care; location: Fairburn, GA; terminology indicates a PRN/as‐needed role within a health system.
Required Qualifications
- Required Minimum Education: Associates in Respiratory Therapy or Bachelor's in Respiratory Therapy (preferred)
- Licenses/Certifications: NBRC-RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist), RCP - Respiratory Care Professional, BLS (or ARC-BLS), ACLS (or ARC-ALS)
- Experience: 0-2 years clinical experience with minimum 6 months in critical care
- Skills: strong communication, critical thinking, ability to work with physicians and healthcare professionals, computer skills and familiarity with databases
- Responsibilities: medication administration, ventilator management, arterial blood gas sampling and analysis, patient and family education, staff development and precepting, adherence to safety and quality initiatives
