Job Summary
Conduct individual and family therapy for children and adolescents ages three to eighteen, providing crisis intervention and initial assessments for immediate resolution. Collaborate with the Program Manager and Co-Therapist on a 24/7 call basis to prepare treatment plans, facilitate warm hand-offs to care coordinators, and document intakes in the Electronic Medical Record. Obtain CANS certification and perform CANS assessments while working with guardians regarding client needs. Participate in departmental meetings, complete billing documentation, and perform outreach in partnership with DHR. Maintain educational requirements for licensure per Alabama state standards and complete other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Masters in a social sciences field with a clinical practicum or internship
- Valid Alabama Driver's License w/ required Personal Liability Insurance Automobile Insurance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work non-traditional hours
- Ability to work as a member of a Team
- Obtain certification in the CANS System
- Maintain educational requirements regarding licensure per AL Department of Mental Health state standards
Desired Qualifications
- At least 1-year postmasters clinical experience preferred
- Preferred minimum of one year working with seriously emotionally disturbed children (SED)
- Previous experience working with crisis
