Job Summary
Operate heavy-duty trucks with front, side, or rear-end load lift attachments to transport materials to disposal, transfer, or recycle facilities. Navigate high-traffic roadways, driveways, alleyways, and lots while performing highly skilled backing maneuvers for commercial, residential, or roll-off services. Conduct pre and post-trip inspections, document checks, and complete end-of-day documentation as directed. Report unsafe situations, service interruptions, or incidents to Route Manager or Dispatch immediately. Communicate customer requests and ensure all receptacles are dumped and left clean. Follow route assignments and comply with Waste Management Safety and Life Critical Rules, OSHA, and DOT requirements. Requires a CDL Class A or B with air-brake endorsement and no prior experience.
Required Qualifications
- Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to interact with the public, understand traffic signs, respond to official questions, and complete records or reports
- Must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located
- Successfully complete pre-employment screening, including drug screen and physical
- Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A with an air-brake endorsement
- Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class B with an air-brake endorsement
