Non-Emergency Medical Transport Driver (Part-Time) Weekends

Job Summary
Conduct safe non-emergency medical transportation for clients to appointments, court hearings, and scheduled activities while maintaining accurate trip records and vehicle logs. Operate a 15-seat passenger van using GPS and local knowledge to navigate efficient routes, ensuring punctuality and client comfort. Assist clients with entry and exit, manage interactions with tact and diplomacy, and adhere strictly to HIPAA and agency protocols protecting client privacy. Coordinate with the client services team to confirm appointments and address special needs, while remaining prepared to handle medical emergencies or unsafe situations.
Required Qualifications
- Twenty-One Years or Older
- High School Diploma or GED
- One (1) year of professional driving experience, and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid Arizona driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to operate a 15-seat passenger van
- Proficiency in using GPS and navigation applications
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Nasal Naloxone Opioid Reversal Training
- Two-Step Test Freedom from TB
- Adherent to the BTC Code of Ethics and Standards of Conduct
- Must pass a background check, pre-employment drug screening, and MVD check
- Knowledge of safe driving practices, defensive driving, and vehicle maintenance basics
- Knowledge of the local service area and surrounding regions
- Knowledge of client service principles in a behavioral health environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and client confidentiality requirements
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful or emergency situations
- Knowledge of basic documentation and record-keeping requirements
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required
- Must be able to sit for extended periods
