Job Summary
Drive a commercial truck and variety of trailers to pick up, haul, and unload equipment and supplies to and from job sites and customer locations. Comply with current DOT regulations, inspect vehicles for damage or excessive wear, and perform weekly safety inspections. Make changes and record transactions on field tickets, complete all delivery documentation with customer signatures, and perform basic maintenance and roadside repairs. Assist in facility operations by stocking shelves, staging, and loading customer orders while maintaining a clean work area. Use courtesy and tact when interacting with customers and facility personnel.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license (non-CDL) from state of residence and valid proof of vehicle insurance
- Must possess good driving record and be insurable for Total Safety vehicle insurance while driving company truck
- Must pass internal forklift training and certification
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to pull, stage and load customer orders for delivery
- Ability to perform basic cleaning and maintenance on vehicle and trailers and basic roadside repair in an emergency
- Must quickly become proficient in the care and use of all site specific, facility and customer required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
- Ability to read, write and comprehend English (operational, process, safety and quality instructions)
- Ability to complete routine reports and shipping/delivery paperwork
- Must demonstrate ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily
- Some contact with other facility personnel to furnish and obtain information

- Regularly required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, or crouch
- Uses hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
- Frequently required to sit
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus
Desired Qualifications
- Forklift experience preferred
- Second language is a plus
