Job Summary

Non-Congregate Meal Program Cooks responsible for central kitchen meal preparation and site-based distribution of multi-day meal boxes under the USDA SFSP. Duties include preparing and packaging reimbursable meals, ensuring food safety and accurate distribution to eligible children or guardians, maintaining temperature logs, inventory control, and supporting distribution at designated sites on Mondays-Tuesdays (central kitchen) and Thursdays (distribution) with up to 20 hours/week at a rate of $20/hour.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must have passed WV State Cook competency testing or hold/previously held Cook classification
  • Must be a current employee of Lincoln County Schools
  • Food handler certification required or must be obtained if applicable
  • Experience in school food service, institutional cooking, or large-scale meal production preferred
