Non-Certified Pharmacy Technician

Pharmacy Technician – Non Certified at Hy-Vee: provides prompt, efficient customer service and assists pharmacists in the preparation and distribution of prescription medications. Responsibilities include entering patient information into the computer, labeling prescriptions, preparing and mailing prescriptions, submitting insurance claims, stocking pharmacy supplies, handling cash transactions, maintaining confidentiality of medical information, and assisting with vaccines as allowed by law. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and working toward a licensed technician certification through a certified national program; vaccination certification may be required by law; physical ability to perform duties and adherence to HIPAA and store policies. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.
