Job Summary
Performs basic nursing skills under supervision of a physician or registered nurse. Greets and escorts patients to exam rooms, prepares exam rooms and equipment, assists with exams, tests, and procedures, schedules appointments and referrals, educates patients on follow-up expectations, maintains quality control testing logs, and assists with administrative tasks including data entry and cash deposits. May travel between facilities. Scheduled weekly hours: 40. Work environment includes teamwork with staff, potential irregular hours, and exposure to biohazards and infectious diseases. Location: Wheeling, WV; non-exempt status in United States.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program OR one year of experience in a clinical setting
- Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date
