Job Summary
Safely transport students to and from school and school-related activities while ensuring a positive and secure environment. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any issues. Manage student behavior during boarding, transit, and exiting. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff. This safety-sensitive role requires a valid IL driver's license, clean driving record, and three years of driving experience. Minimum age is 21. Competitive pay includes medical, dental, vision, and 401K. Regular split shift schedule offers summers and holidays off.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age: 21 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Valid IL driver's license
- Clean driving record
- 3+ years of driving experience
- Ability to pass background check and drug test
- Physical ability to assist students and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Desired Qualifications
- First Division School Bus Driver Permit (Non-CDL)
- Willing to obtain the First Division School Bus Driver Permit (Non-CDL) - state requirements, with training provided
