Job Summary
Operate safely and deliver raw materials to customer sites in the Des Moines metro area; unload materials, check orders for accuracy, organize and secure loads, complete delivery tickets and credit slips, and provide excellent customer service. Maintain yard/warehouse housekeeping, perform daily equipment inspections, and comply with supervisor directions and company policies. May be subject to DOT/FMCSA jurisdictions. This is an entry-level Non-CDL Driver role focusing on delivering materials to job sites and customers, with responsibilities including load verification, paperwork, and basic math for order accuracy.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1-3 years of experience driving trucks required
- Lumber dumping experience preferred
- DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State required
- Proficiency with or ability to learn current technologies (e.g. Smartphone, GPS)
