Job Summary
Operate snowplow trucks during winter storms; follow all DOT, OSHA, and company safety rules; perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections; report issues to Route Manager or Dispatch; participate in safety meetings and training; assist other drivers or routes when needed; be willing to travel to snow locations and stay for the duration of the event (hotel, travel time, and per diem paid); on-call winter work in Richmond, VA with $25/hour pay and potential overtime.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent is required
- Must be 18 or older
- Have a valid Driver’s License
- Pass a DOT drug screen, and MVR review
- Have a clean driving record — no serious violations or multiple accidents within the past 5 years
- Be willing to travel to snow locations and stay for the duration of the event (hotel, travel time, and per diem paid by DCS)
- Prior snowplow experience is helpful but not required
- Must attend an 8-hour in-person snow training before the season starts
