Job Summary
Non-CDL Driver on-call winter position operating snowplow trucks during winter storms. Responsible for safe vehicle operation, DOT/OSHA compliance, pre- and post-trip inspections, reporting issues to the Route Manager/Dispatch, attending safety meetings and training, assisting other drivers, and traveling to snow locations with hotel/per diem provided. Requirements include 18+ years old, valid license, ability to pass DOT drug screen and MVR, clean driving record, willingness to travel to snow locations; prior snowplow experience is helpful but not required. Compensation is $25/hour with overtime opportunities, plus paid travel time, hotel, and per diem; start date for the 2026 winter season in Thornburg, VA.”,
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must be 18 or older
- Have a valid Driver’s License
- Pass a DOT drug screen, and MVR review
- Have a clean driving record — no serious violations or multiple accidents within the past 5 years
- Be willing to travel to snow locations and stay for the duration of the event
- Prior snowplow experience is helpful but not required
- Must attend an 8-hour in-person snow training before the season starts
