Job Summary
Operate snowplow trucks safely and responsibly during winter storms. Follow all DOT, OSHA, and company safety rules. Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report issues promptly. Communicate with Route Manager or Dispatch about unsafe situations or service needs. Participate in required safety meetings and training sessions. Assist other drivers or routes as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must be 18 or older
- Valid Driver’s License
- Pass a DOT drug screen and MVR review
- Have a clean driving record — no serious violations or multiple accidents within the past 5 years
- Be willing to travel to snow locations and stay for the duration of the event (hotel, travel time, and per diem paid by DCS)
- Prior snowplow experience is helpful but not required
- Must attend an 8-hour in-person snow training before the season starts
