Job Summary
Non-CDL Driver I at US LBM division (Arrow Building Center, Lampert Lumber, Lyman Lumber) delivers raw materials and smaller orders to job sites. Operates safely, checks orders for accuracy, secures and loads materials, completes delivery tickets/credit slips, unloads materials at customer sites, maintains yard/warehouse housekeeping, provides excellent customer service, and assists supervisor and other teams. Role may involve DOT/FMCSA jurisdiction considerations; requires readiness to perform daily equipment inspections and follow safety policies, with experience in basic math, reading orders, and using GPS/tools to manage deliveries.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-3 years of experience driving trucks
- Lumber dumping experience preferred
- DL driver license
- Maintain current operator’s license and meet company driver qualification requirements
- Proficiency with smartphone, GPS and other necessary business applications
- Ability to do basic math, read orders, and write/instruction and complete forms
- Effective communication with customers and coworkers
- Safe lifting techniques
