Job Summary
Non-CDL Driver for SRS Building Products responsible for safe, timely delivery of building materials to job sites, accurate loading/unloading, and on-site customer service. Duties include pre-trip/post-trip vehicle inspections, inventory verification, safe use of forklifts, adherence to safety protocols, maintaining delivery documentation with photographic evidence, and coordinating with branch management to resolve logistical challenges. Local travel with occasional long-distance trips; strong emphasis on safety, order accuracy, and professional communication with customers and team.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid non-CDL driver’s license with clean driving record (no DUIs in 3 years, no suspensions in 5 years, max 2 violations/accidents in 18 months)
- U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S. with E-Verify
- Must pass drug test and background check
- Current DOT medical card for vehicles 10,001 lbs+
- DOT medical certificate mandatory for operation of trucks 10,001 lbs+
- Forklift experience preferred with possible certification
Desired Qualifications
- Delivery driving experience with knowledge of DOT regulations
- Forklift certification (preferred)
- GPS and routing software proficiency
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Attention to detail and inventory/documentation experience
- Basic math and English communication
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory processes
- Proactive safety mindset and ability to follow safety protocols
- Ability to work independently and manage time in fast-paced settings
- DOT Medical Certificate (mandatory for operating trucks 10,001 lbs+)
- Valid driver's license (non-CDL)
- Background check and drug screen clearance
