Job Summary
Unload material at destination using hand, dumping, or forklift methods based on site characteristics and available assistance. Operate vehicles and forklifts while maintaining complete knowledge of local highways, roads, traffic patterns, and terrain to maximize delivery efficiency. Complete and document daily and weekly maintenance checklists to ensure safe equipment operation and longevity. Assist with warehouse maintenance, cleanliness, and unloading incoming freight. Adhere to all traffic laws, speed limits, and safety guidelines while protecting delivered inventory against loss and theft. Maintain delivered inventory using proper banding, strapping, and tarps as necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Class D License
- Must be able to lift and load merchandise weighing up to 100 lbs
- Must be able to place merchandise in locations above six feet in height
- Must be able to unload a delivery truck
- Must be able to climb a ladder
- Must be able to maneuver safely at store, in the warehouse, and at job sites
