Job Summary
Load and secure product inside the delivery vehicle, then transport materials to customer sites while adhering to safety and compliance regulations. Verify order details against invoices, maintain logs for deliveries, mileage, and locations, and act as a liaison to resolve customer concerns. Perform routine safety checks, operate forklifts or non-motorized equipment to offload materials, and complete pre/post trip inspections and hours of service logs. Use handheld devices for DVIR and HOS compliance except while driving. This role involves driving vehicles weighing 10,001-26,000 pounds with a valid driver's license, DOT medical card, and less than five moving violations in the last five years.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 21+ years old
- valid driver's license
- Pass MVR report
- Obtain a DOT medical card within five (5) days of a request
- Have less than 5 moving violations in the last 5 years
- Basic math & measurement skills
- Ability to read and speak the English language
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds
- Must be able to physically operate delivery vehicles (climb up and down into cab, twist torso for 360 degree visibility, use arms to operate controls, etc.)
Desired Qualifications
- Previous delivery experience, preferably with building materials and delivery equipment
