Job Summary
Deliver glass to customers promptly while maintaining positive local work environments and strong customer relations. Receive shipments, unpack incoming trucks, and visually inspect glass before loading parts accurately onto delivery trucks. Locate required parts in the warehouse, remove items from stock, and stock assigned racks to maintain inventory accuracy. Operate a forklift, order picker, and basic hand tools to receive orders from the warehouse office. Work core hours of 9am-5pm Monday through Friday, with pay of $19.00 per hour. This role supports Pilkington North America's automotive and flat glass manufacturing and distribution operations within the Nippon Sheet Glass group.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license, good driving record, and an ability to read maps
- Ability to lift 35-45 pounds on a frequent basis and on occasion up to 70 pounds
- Ability to operate a forklift, order picker, and basic hand tools
- Good attendance
- Proficiency in English language (verbal and written)
- Good customer relations skills
- Ability to work in temperatures similar to the outdoors within the area of the assigned Service Center
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Personal Computer skills including computerized inventory system
- Previous delivery driving, material handling, and glass experience
- Previous commercial driving experience (2-years minimum)
