Job Summary
Delivers glass to customers promptly while maintaining good customer relations and a positive local work environment. Receives shipments, unpacks incoming trucks, and visually inspects glass before loading parts accurately onto delivery trucks. Unloads trucks daily, processes returns, and stocks warehouse inventory by placing parts in assigned racks. Locates required parts, checks inventory for accuracy, and completes paperwork for will-call customers. Operates a forklift and order picker to lift up to 70 pounds. Works 430am-2pm Monday through Friday with some Saturday rotations.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in English language (verbal and written)
- Valid driver's license, good driving record, and an ability to read maps
- Ability to lift 35-45 pounds on a frequent basis and on occasion up to 70 pounds
- Ability to operate a forklift, order picker, and basic hand tools
- Excellent attendance
- Good customer relations skills – Client interaction required
- Ability to work in temperatures similar to the outdoors within the area of the assigned Service Center
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Previous commercial driving experience
- 2-years minimum
- Pre-employment criminal background check
- Physical
- Drug screen
Desired Qualifications
- Personal Computer skills including computerized inventory system
- Previous driving, material handling, and glass experience
- Previous commercial driving experience preferred but not required (2-years minimum)
