Job Summary
Deliver glass to customers promptly while maintaining positive local work environments and developing strong customer relations. Receive shipments, unpack trucks, and visually inspect glass before loading parts accurately onto delivery vehicles. Unload delivery trucks, process returns, and stock the warehouse by placing parts in assigned racks. Check inventory to maintain accuracy, receive orders from the warehouse office, and assist management with cycle counts and route coordination. Locate and pull product for will-call customers, completing necessary paperwork for proof of pick-up. Perform other related duties as assigned, including operating a forklift and order picker.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in English language (verbal and written)
- Valid driver's license, good driving record, and an ability to read maps
- Ability to lift 35-45 pounds on a frequent basis and on occasion up to 70 pounds
- Ability to operate a forklift, order picker, and basic hand tools
- Excellent attendance
- Good customer relations skills
- Ability to work in temperatures similar to the outdoors within the area of the assigned Service Center
- Pre-employment criminal background check
- Physical examination
- Drug screen
Desired Qualifications
- Personal Computer skills including computerized inventory system
- Previous driving, material handling, and glass experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Previous commercial driving experience (2-years minimum)
