Job Summary
Drive a company vehicle to deliver foodservice products to designated stops, ensuring all functions are completed safely and in accordance with DOT regulations. Load and unload the vehicle for multi-stop deliveries, lift up to 50 lbs frequently and 100 lbs occasionally, and use a hand truck to move product into customer locations, including navigating stairs. Accurately record delivery information via hand scanner, check invoices, process damaged merchandise, and collect payments if necessary. Monitor refrigeration systems, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, and communicate any customer issues to proper authority. Work weekends, holidays, and overtime to service customers while demonstrating defensive driving techniques.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Valid U.S. driver's license issued by the state of legal residence with proper endorsements if required
- No more than two convictions in the past two-year period for traffic violations
- No DUI convictions in the past three years
- No driver's license suspensions in the past three years
- Must be able to pass DOT physical
- Must be able to pass pre-employment testing (including items such as Background Check)
- Able to read, write and communicate in English as it relates to the job and safety regulations
- Must have basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- Must have knowledge of area and/or map reading abilities
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis and up to 100 lbs. on an occasional basis
- Must be able to pass pre-employment testing (including items such as Background Check)
- Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions
- Availability to work on weekends, Holidays and overtime in order to service customers
Desired Qualifications
- Commercial or professional driving experience preferred, but not required
- One year of multi-stop delivery experience is preferred
- Six months local delivery experience and/or foodservice industry experience
- Hand cart delivery experience preferred
