Job Summary
Substitute Non-CDL Bus/Van Driver responsible for transporting students on scheduled routes and field trips in 14-passenger buses or passenger vans, maintaining safety and accurate rosters, performing pre-trip/post-trip inspections, and ensuring compliance with district policies. Duties include supervising students, enforcing behavior and safety, conducting evacuation drills, fueling and maintaining the vehicle, keeping route records up to date, and preparing field trip and incident reports. Requires operating 14-passenger buses and/or vans, basic math and English communication, and maintaining confidentiality; certifications and a valid AZ driver’s license with proper insurance are required—CPR/First Aid and fingerprint background check are also listed. This is a substitute, on-call 10-month position with varying hours.
