Job Summary
Maintain accurate tech packs containing measurements, material types, and construction methods, and assess product samples against approved specifications to provide technical feedback on quality, performance, and aesthetic metrics. Review product construction for functional and aesthetic standards, manage packaging and labelling to uphold brand consistency, and interpret product data to guide corrective actions. Coordinate with external labs to maintain testing and compliance records, support weekly critical path reviews to identify technical risks, and monitor customer returns to reduce recurring quality issues. Provide thorough quality control to meet sealed standards and shipping release dates while acting as the risk assessment ambassador for the category.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' footwear technical experience
- experience with offshore footwear suppliers
- Strong knowledge of footwear testing methods and relevant industry standards (e.g., SATRA/ASTM/EN ISO guidance)
- ability to interpret requirements for commercial compliance
- Intermediate level of PLM
- Intermediate level of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Effective time management, organisation and ability to work under pressure to meet critical path deadlines
- Independently driven to seek excellence and streamline processes
- Team player to unite design, buying and suppliers
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Footwear Technology, Footwear Design, Materials Science, Product Technology or a related discipline
- Intermediate level of Adobe Illustrator
