Job Summary
Nocturnist Hospitalist opportunity in Boise, Idaho with Saint Alphonsus Medical Group. Full-time role with 152 night shifts/year (7 on/7 off), 7:00pm–6:00am, no call. Hospitalists participate in teaching residents within a 650+ provider multispecialty group, caring for a high-acuity service at a 381-bed regional medical center. Typical patient mix ~40% adult and 60% geriatric; rounding 14–18 patient encounters per day and 6–8 admissions per night. Must be committed to a multidisciplinary team approach and obtain privileges at SARMC, with a strong Internal Medicine or Family Medicine background and hospitalist training. Qualifications include MD/DO, ACGME Internal Medicine or family medicine residency with hospitalist training, ABIM/AOBIM board certification (or within 3 years), Idaho licensure, and DEA registration. Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency; family medicine residency with hospitalist training considered
- Board certification by ABIM or AOBIM or able to obtain within 3 years of employment
- Idaho medical licensure to practice medicine in all phases; valid controlled substance registration with Idaho Boards of Pharmacy & DEA
- Privileges at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center (SARMC)
