Job Summary
Saint Alphonsus Medical Group seeks a Nocturnist Hospitalist to join a growing multispecialty team in Boise. The role involves managing a high-acuity inpatient service at a 381-bed regional center, with 7 on/7 off night shifts (7:00 pm–6:00 am) and no call. Hospitalists participate in resident teaching, handle 14–18 daily patient encounters and 6–8 admissions per night, and support a broad med-surg population (CHF, pneumonia, COPD, pancreatitis, stroke, geriatric fractures, etc.) within a multidisciplinary care model. Ideal candidates have internal medicine or family medicine training with hospitalist focus, ABIM or AOBIM board certification (or within 3 years), Idaho medical licensure, DEA registration, and privileges at SARMC; the package includes relocation and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)
- ACGME accredited Internal Medicine residency orFamily Medicine residency with hospitalist training
- Board certification through ABIM or AOBIM - or obtain such certification within 3 years of employment
- Idaho medical licensure to practice medicine in all its phases; DEA/controlled substance registration
- Privileges at SARMC
- Rounding/no-call requirement and nocturnist shift pattern
- Nocturnist with teaching residents
- Experience in high acuity inpatient setting preferred
- Commitment to multi-disciplinary team approach
