Job Summary
Nocturnist Hospitalist opportunity in Boise with Saint Alphonsus Medical Group. Join a physician-led, multispecialty group consisting of 650+ providers to manage inpatient care at a 381-bed regional medical center. Full-time, 152-night shifts/year, 7 on/7 off, 7:00pm–6:00am, with no call. Hospitalists participate in teaching residents and care for a mixed adult/geriatric population (roughly 40% adult, 60% geriatric) with conditions including CHF, pneumonia, COPD, pancreatitis, stroke, neurologic conditions and geriatric fractures. Rounding typically yields 14–18 patient encounters per day; nocturnists see 6–8 admissions per night. Emphasis on multi-disciplinary teamwork; SARMC is the region’s ACS-verified Level II Trauma Center. Ideal candidate has strong internal medicine or family medicine background with hospitalist training and seeks to develop a practice within a growing multi-specialty group. Applicants must obtain Idaho medical licensure and privileges.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
- ACGME accredited Internal Medicine residency or family medicine residency with hospitalist training
- Board certification through ABIM or AOBIM - or obtain such certification within 3 years of employment
- Idaho medical licensure to practice medicine and DEA/CS registration
- Granting of privileges at SARMC
