Job Summary
Provide culturally appropriate healthcare to inpatient pediatric nursery, NICU babies, and infants up to age 2 at the Alaska Native Medical Center. Deliver night shift coverage from 7:30pm to 7:30am under a 4-on/3-off rotation with some holiday variations. Maintain licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in Alaska, hold current AANP or ANCC certification, and possess Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP-BC) certification through the National Certification Corporation. Ensure compliance with all required immunizations and employee health procedures prior to employment.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Alaska
- Current certification as a NP through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
- Meets all requirements in order to obtain associate medical staff membership and required privileges of service
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- ACLS certification
- NRP certification
- ATLS certification
- ALSO certification
- PALS certification
- Certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP-BC) through the National Certification Corporation (NCC) or similar certifying body
- Compliance with our Employee Health Procedure
- Agreement to comply with all job-related employee health screening and immunizations prior to first day of employment
- Documentation of completed MMR (Measles, Mumps and Rubella) immunization
- Documentation of completed Varicella (Chicken Pox) immunization
- Documentation of completed Hepatitis B immunization
- Documentation of completed Influenza immunization
- Documentation of completed T-dap (Tetanus - Diphtheria - Pertussis) immunization
- Documentation of completed COVID-19 vaccination
