Job Summary
Assist residents with daily prescribed medication administration, including self-administration, and manage inventory, storage, and pharmacy re-orders. Provide compassionate support for activities of daily living and promote engagement in life enrichment programs while maintaining open communication with healthcare professionals and families. Follow documentation protocols to report resident status changes and prioritize independence through continuous companionship. Requires a valid state CNA or HCA license, 12 months of medication administration experience, and willingness to participate in weekend rotations. This role is part of Cogir Senior Living's network of communities dedicated to enriching the lives of residents across 11 states.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid state CNA or HCA license per state regulations
- Current First Aid and CPR license or ability to obtain
- Nurse Delegation and Diabetes Specialty Certificates or willingness to obtain within a prescribed period
- At least 12 months of experience administering medications in a professional caregiving setting
- Excellent attention to detail and high integrity
- Strong communication skills and a teamwork mindset
- Positive attitude, empathy, patience, and commitment to treating our residents with dignity and respect
- Willingness to participate in weekend rotation
