Job Summary
Provides certified nursing assistant services to assigned patients in accordance with care plans and facility policies. Responsibilities include assisting residents with daily living activities, coordinating dining services, delivering nutritional supplements, documenting patient intake and progress, and reporting changes in residents’ conditions to nursing staff. Candidates must hold a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR/BLS certification, and possess a current Food Handler Permit when applicable. At least one year of experience in a skilled nursing or assisted living facility is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Current Food Handler Permit (when applicable)
- At least one year of experience as a certified nursing assistant in a SNF or ALF is preferred, not required
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, patients, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public
- Strong listening skills and ability to deal with conflict with professionalism and courtesy
- Basic computer skills, including ability to navigate electronic medical record systems
- Positive interpersonal relationship skills, including with persons of all ages and cultures
Additional Requirements
- Must not pose a threat to the health and safety of other individuals in the workplace.
- Meets general health requirements according to facility policy, including medical and physical exams and checking immunity status to various infectious diseases.
