Job Summary
Universal Caregiver for Assisted Living and Residential Care Communities provides direct resident care and support with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and meals) and medication assistance after training. Responsible for updating resident records, observing changes in health and behavior, communicating findings to supervisors, maintaining a clean and safe environment, assisting with meals and daily activities, and participating in training. Requires strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, confidentiality, and a professional demeanor to support residents' independence and well-being.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One to three months related experience and/or training with working with seniors
- Basic computer skills/knowledge
- Valid CPR, First Aid and Food Handlers cards (can be acquired during the hiring process)
- Pre-Service Universal Caregiver training is required but part of your onboarding and training
- Ongoing training is provided by the Executive Director and Oregon Care Partners to ensure the highest level of care and adherence to state regulations
