Job Summary
Universal Caregiver in an Assisted Living/Residential Care community provides direct resident care, including ADLs (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring), medication setup after training, and updates resident records. Responsibilities include observing changes in residents’ physical and emotional condition, communicating observations, maintaining a clean and safe environment, assisting with meals and activities, and attending trainings. Requires a high school diploma/GED, CPR/First Aid and Food Handler certifications, 1–3 months of experience with seniors, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift/move residents with assistance; pre-service caregiver training is provided during onboarding.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to three months related experience and/or training with working with seniors
- Valid CPR, First Aid and Food Handlers cards (can be acquired during the hiring process)
- Pre-Service Universal Caregiver training is required but part of your onboarding and training.
