Job Summary
Lay out, assemble, install, maintain, repair, and test complicated mechanical equipment on high-speed packaging machinery. Perform major repairs using instruction books and specifications, operate packing equipment, and conduct routine maintenance, infield adjustments, and complete breakdowns. Execute all tasks adhering to established safety practices and sanitation standards while wearing required PPE. This role involves lifting up to 50 lbs and working in confined spaces with constant movement. Candidates must have at least two years of maintenance experience on packaging or industrial equipment. The position requires flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, with a starting hourly rate of $38.00.
Required Qualifications
- at least two (2) or more years of maintenance/mechanical experience on packaging equipment
- two (2) or more years of related maintenance/mechanical experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to recognize, adjust and replace components in mechanical equipment
- Ability to perform repairs and tests on mechanical packaging equipment such as clutch assemblies, gear head motors, reduction drive units and high pressure glue pumps
- Lift up to 50lbs
- Use hands and arms to reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and manipulate materials and tools
- Walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, stoop, crawl, and climb constantly throughout the shift
- Reach, bend, twist, rotate, push and pull frequently
- Work in confined spaces
- Work independently as well as a team player
- Climb up and down ladders
- flexibility to work various shifts, including Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, and overtime, as needed
- Weekend shifts may be mandated based on business needs
- Must be able to perform tasks wearing required PPE such as but not limited to protective footwear, clothing, safety glasses/goggles, etc.
