Job Summary
Oversee routine nuclear material movements, transfers, receipts, and shipments by verifying transfer documentation and assisting with accurate data entry into accountability systems. Conduct compliance assessments, performance tests, and field surveillance of material handling while performing periodic checks of material balance areas to verify physical barriers and access controls. Identify and report potential discrepancies, vulnerabilities, or non-compliance issues, and support investigations of minor material discrepancies or administrative anomalies. Review localized operational records and transfer logs for completeness and accuracy, and assist in evaluating the basic form and concentration of nuclear materials to support category determinations. This role requires a Bachelor's Degree and 0-3 years of operational or field inspection experience, with the ability to obtain an HSPD-12 credential. Candidates will also deliver basic training and awareness sessions for operations personnel and participate in routine field-based self-assessments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in technical field, science, business, or a closely related discipline
- 0-3 years of general operational, inventory control, or field inspection experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12) credential
