Job Summary
NLP/LLM Scientist at JPMorgan Chase's ML Center of Excellence leading applied AI/ML initiatives. Develop state-of-the-art ML models for NLP, LLMs, and recommendation systems; translate research into production-ready solutions; publish outputs across conferences and journals. Collaborate with Business, Technology, Product Management, Legal, Compliance, Strategy, and Business Management to deploy models in production; design large-scale frameworks to accelerate ML adoption across the business. Strong emphasis on deep learning expertise, experimental design, cross-functional collaboration, and impactful business applications.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in a quantitative discipline or MS with significant industry or research experience
- Solid background in NLP and LLMs, and solid understanding of machine learning and deep learning methods
- Published research in areas of Machine Learning, Deep Learning or Reinforcement Learning
- Extensive experience with ML/DL toolkits (TensorFlow, PyTorch, NumPy, Scikit-Learn, Pandas)
- Ability to design experiments and training frameworks and evaluate metrics for model performance
- Experience with big data and scalable model training; strong written and spoken communication
- Scientific thinking; ability to work independently and in collaborative teams
- Strong communication of technical concepts to technical and business audiences
