Job Summary
The Training and Compliance Specialist will develop, deliver, and oversee training programs for utility locating practices, conduct field and classroom training for new hires and existing staff, and audit locators to ensure safety, accuracy, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include updating training materials with industry trends and regulatory changes, coaching locators, performing regular field audits, evaluating adherence to safety standards and procedures, documenting audit findings, preparing reports on training effectiveness and audit results, and collaborating with management to drive continuous improvement. The role requires strong communication, safety focus, and the ability to travel extensively (75%+), with expertise in locating multiple utilities and proficiency in reporting and data analysis.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years utility locating experience required
- Ability to locate all utility types
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and the ability to obtain a DOT physical certification
- Able to pass a drug and alcohol screen
