Job Summary
Radiologic Technologist operates radiographic equipment to produce diagnostic radiographic images per physician protocols and assists during fluoroscopic procedures (epidural injections, hip aspirations). Responsibilities include greeting and preparing patients, obtaining histories, ensuring pregnancy screening where applicable, explaining exams, maintaining patient comfort and safety, applying ALARA radiation protection, selecting proper technical factors, producing high-quality radiographs, critiquing images, assisting with fluoroscopic procedures, reporting equipment problems, training new staff, and adhering to x-ray QA standards while representing Rothman Orthopaedics’ culture and values.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Must have active, valid registration and continued certification through the ARRT
- Candidates applying to a position based in NJ must have active, valid NJ radiology licensure
- Knowledge of x-ray procedures and epidural procedures required
- Ability to operate all equipment and machinery, including processors and computer systems, required
