Job Summary
Assist residents in managing Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and the safe administration of medications as directed by physicians. Follow all policies and procedures while adhering to the instructions of the Nurse Shift Supervisor and the Director of Wellness. Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all residents by maintaining strict attention to detail and a disciplined approach. Review Medication Administration Records (MAR) and doctors' orders to guarantee accurate care delivery. Work a full-time schedule including one weekend shift per week (Tues–Sat or Sun–Thurs). This role is essential to the care and safety of residents who choose The Bristal as their home.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work one weekend day per week
- Must have at least an HHA certificate
- Applicants must hold a New Jersey state med tech certification in order to apply for this position
Desired Qualifications
- Experience assisting those with Alzheimer's disease and dementia is a plus
- Solid understanding of MAR's and doctors' orders a plus (but we will train the right individual)
- Maintain an abiding respect for the elderly and remain calm at all times
- Extremely reliable, dependent and observant
