Job Summary
Lead and design a college-preparatory High School Audio Engineering/STEAM program (Audio & Video Production) at Achievers Early College Prep. Deliver standards-aligned curriculum in audio engineering, video production, and digital media, with project-based learning (podcast/music production, film/documentary, live sound, and portfolio development). Build and manage a dedicated audio/video production lab, maintain equipment safely, stay current with industry tools (DAWs: Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Ableton; Adobe Creative Suite), collaborate across school initiatives, and support extracurriculars. Develop partnerships and real-world projects to prepare students for college and careers in media, technology, and communications. Qualifying education includes NJ CE/CEAS or standard Instructional Certificate; preferred endorsements include Technology Education or CTE, and familiarity with media lab management and industry tools.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Audio Engineering, Media Production, Film, Music Technology, or related field
- Appropriate New Jersey certification or the ability to obtain proper certification in New Jersey
- Experience with project-based or STEAM-focused instruction (preferred)
