Job Summary
Collaborate with building administration and teaching staff to create, facilitate, and evaluate the system for addressing social emotional behavioral health needs within a multi-tiered system of support. Partner with the Teacher Leadership Team and district administration to support teachers and deliver on the vision of Every Learner: Future Ready. Monitor and evaluate the implementation of MTSS, including the Core SEBH curriculum, while providing professional learning to PLC teams to carry out program goals. Ensure a safe, supportive, and collaborative culture through regular engagement in district professional learning opportunities. This extra duty position requires additional time outside the contract day and includes an annual evaluation using the TLS rubric.
Required Qualifications
- Reflective, growth-oriented, seeks and acts upon feedback, and willingness to be coached
- Deepen and maintain own knowledge of equity principles and culturally responsible pedagogy to identify and address inequitable practices and engage teachers in using an equity lens to reflect on their practice
- Knowledge of or the willingness to become knowledgeable in the High Reliability Schools framework
- Knowledge and experiencing implementing a multi-tiered system of support
- A commitment to supporting the growth of others and the belief that adult learning is essential to student learning
- Knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and assessment
- Knowledge of Professional Learning Community process and protocol
- Knowledge and experience with research-based strategies within digital literacy
- Standard Teaching License
- three years of teaching experience
- at least one year of experience in the Cedar Rapids Community School District
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in leadership positions, such as PLC Leader, Team Leader, or Department Chair
- Ability to design, present, and facilitate adult learning experiences
- Standard Teaching License with three years of teaching experience with at least one year of experience in the Cedar Rapids Community School District (extra duty positions)
