Job Summary
Support plant operations by safely operating equipment for startup and shutdown while monitoring gauges to maintain stable manufacturing processes. Perform preventative maintenance and repairs ranging from minor adjustments to major compressor overhauls, and execute vacuuming, purging, and filling processes for precision cylinders used in the electronics industry. Diligently maintain operating logs, manage chemical replenishment in polishing towers, and facilitate loading and unloading of raw materials and finished products via bulk trucks. Utilize detector tubes and GCs to ensure all products meet conformance standards. This swing shift role at our Tooele, UT Nitrous oxide facility requires standing, lifting up to 25 pounds, and working near moving mechanical parts in various weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- At least two years of related experience and/or training
- Ability to read/interpret safety rules, manuals, and technical drawings
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Proficiency in basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Ability to work with fractions, decimals, rates, ratios, and percentages
- Ability to interpret bar graphs
- Must be able to operate fabrication equipment (drill presses, saws, etc.)
- Ability to use 'commonsense understanding' to follow instructions and solve problems involving multiple variables in standard situations
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
- Capability to occasionally move up to 100 pounds with provided equipment
- Specific vision (color, depth, and focus)
- Sensory awareness (hearing/smell)
Desired Qualifications
- Specific experience in maintenance or mechanical fields
- Being 'computer literate'
- The specific ability to interpret diagrams and drawings
